We are providing different challenges for you to solve. You can choose the climate that you are most passionate about and work on one of its specific promts, or tackle a specific technical bounty.

 DOMAIN-BASED PROMPTS

EARTH SYSTEM STATE
  • Earth's Carbon Ledger — Build a near real-time atmospheric carbon budget counter with decentralized scientific consensus. See Prompt >

WORLD SYSTEM REGISTRIES
  • The Paris Smart Contract Agreement — We started to transcribe the Paris Agreement into an Ethereum-based solidity smart contract. Improve & extend it!. See Prompt >

  • Spatial contracts for Nested Accounting — Develop metadata schemas and contracts so that the mitigation and adaptation outcomes of non-state actors —like cities, companies and individuals— can be included and accounted under the respective Nationally Determined Contributions where they are retire. See Prompt >

  • Global Meta Registry — Our partners  began developing a global climate warehouse to host the global mitigation outcomes that could be traded under article 6 of the Paris Agreement. See the architecture and contribute. See Bounties >

CLIMATE ACTION CERTIFICATION
  • Energy & Carbon Oracle servers — Use data science and machine learning to build an open oracle that can cross-verify both the energy data used to certify renewable energy credits, and calculations for displaced carbon associated to it. See Prompt >

  • Land-based mitigation certifications — Work with partners to link remote sensing data for the process of Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of land-based mitigations. See Prompt >

  • Adaptation certifications — Work with prompt partners to implement protocols for climate vulnerability reduction and project tracking for adaptation certifications. See Prompt >

NETWORKED CLIMATE MARKETS
  • Fungibility contracts in Networked Climate Markets — Design smart contract that can allow interoperability between digital assets of climate mitigations so that they may operate in different international markets. See Prompt >

  • ITMO TerminalArticle 6 of the Paris Agreement allows for the international transfer of mitigation outcomes so that parties can collaborate on their 'NDC'. Design a prototype of an investment and trading 'Terminal' that can act as a one-stop portal  See Prompt >

CLIMATE FINANCE
  • Climate Bond platform — Climate bonds are a great financial instrument to help fund mitigation and adaptation actions. Propose a platform the can streamline the issuance and monitoring of bonds. See Prompt >

  • Carbon pricing automation — Design a smart contract that can automate the calculation and collection of a global carbon price based on provable GHG emissions.   See Prompt >
